Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway Information
For the past three years LA Works has held a Thanksgiving Food Distribution for our most needy clients… thanks to gracious donations from Faith Community Church of West Covina and Glendora Vineyard Community Church. We are contacting our local food banks, grocery stores, and churches again this year in hope of continuing this service. However, for those in our community who seek assistance there are several charity Thanksgiving dinners and turkey giveaways planned for Southern California:
Over 1,500 families receive generous Thanksgiving food boxes at Foothill Unity Center's annual Thanksgiving distributions, at Ayers Hall Los Angeles County Arboretum in Arcadia. The families must reside in the Center's eleven-city service area: Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Duarte, Azusa, Baldwin Park and Irwindale. To receive a food box you must meet specific eligibility criteria … the deadline to sign up for the giveaway is Monday, November 12, 2012. Contact Foothill Unity center at 626.358.3486 for more information.
