LA Works Trains RRanch Market Employees
Employees from R Ranch Market attended a 2-part customized Excel training workshop provided by LA Works at their Irwindale, CA facility. Ranch Market employees participated in various hands-on training exercises designed to develop confidence and skills in using Excel on-the-job.
More and more companies are relying on computers in order to conduct business; however, they require skilled staff to optimize efficient use of the systems. R Ranch Market management recognizes the importance of providing their employees with the tools and resources necessary to take advantage of recently upgraded technology at their headquarters. Arrangements were made to customize the Excel workshops in alignment with the Market's recently acquired inventory tracking system. Training offered enhanced graphical user interface in which students were able to interact with actual tasks such as inventory valuation, advanced item movement, and scale management. Additionally, students learned how to create graphs, charts, and pivot tables to take advantage of the inventory system's seamless interface into Excel allowing data analysis.
LA Works' course instructors are professionals skilled in the field of computer systems technology and support. Cheryl Lested, has a Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University and has been employed at LA Works over 12 years. Cheryl understands key learning theories and methods of instruction and their relation to technology integration. Norman Tang, also possesses a Bachelor's Degree along with many years experience in Microsoft Office Suite instruction.
