“I thought I should update you on my changed status of employment. This week I started a new full-time job. It is a great company with a professional environment. Thank you for the advice and time you extended during your sessions. I found the workshops helpful and informative.” ~Beverly
“I just want to let you know how grateful I am to you and the staff at LA Works. Thank you so very much for all you do to help improve the lives of so many people. I have learned so much! Thank You!” ~Maria
“First of all, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement. I have truly enjoyed being a part of LA Works as I have learned a lot and met many really nice people. The computer classes were excellent too and I was able to say I now know Access. I wish I would have signed up with LA Works when I first lost my job instead of waiting over 1 year. I probably would have had a job much sooner with the resources and support offered through LA Works.” ~Bonnie
“It was a pleasure having you as my job developer. Thank you for being so confident in me. I appreciate all you have done.” ~Mary
“Thank you for all of your help. I have enjoyed having the opportunity to work with you and to attend trainings at your organization. I found a full-time job and am enjoying having the opportunity to be working again in the educational field! Thank you again for all of your wonderful help.”
“Thank you so much for your help. I am enjoying my new job a lot.” ~ Shu
“To all the wonderful people at LA WORKS, I want to thank you all for all your help with your workshops, advice, and most of all your moral support! I GOT THE JOB! I am so grateful to you all… keep doing your wonderful work that you do!!!” ~Carmen
“I just want to let you know that will finally be employed! One of my old bosses rehired me at a decent starting pay with great potential for growth. Thank you for you and your staff for the encouragement, preparation, & education. I think it would be good to remind the other LA Works clients what we discussed in one of our first sessions…that getting over the stigma of being unemployed & just letting everyone know who can potentially help you sometimes works, like in my case…” “You guys do a great job out there despite the overwhelming odds. Keep up the good work. When it comes time for us to hire as well, I’ll make sure to contact your first for potential employees.” ~Pat
“I felt like the Angels baseball team today. I knocked the interview questions out of the park. After the interview, she wanted me to meet with her boss… I am sure I got the job…. You can’t believe how unreal this all seems. I have so much more I want to tell you and all the staff at LA Works. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR ALL THE KNOWLEDGE, SUPPORT, AND ENCOURAGEMENT. ~Shirley (note: Shirley did get the job!)
“I want to let you know what a great pleasure it was working with LA Works staff. Over the months they helped me with my resume, sent me leads and just checked in with me. The panel interview you put together was especially helpful; before my real interview I reminded myself of the comments all of you had provided the day before and felt confident in my presentation. I’m sure this confidence helped me land the job. ~Leonie
