LA WORKS RECOGNIZES JOB SEEKERS, EMPLOYERS
AND PARTNERS AT ANNUAL AWARDS FUNCTION Youth, Adult, Mature Workers, and Employers were recognized and honored at the Awards Ceremony. LA Works, its Affiliates and Youth Collaborators made nominations. Nominees have demonstrated their ability to overcome amazing challenges, made significant gains in their careers, or made a positive contribution to their community. LA Works acknowledged various individuals who have displayed such exuberance in their lives. Individuals that were recognized received a certificate from LA Works. Employers were recognized for their active support of our vocational training programs and in hiring job seekers from our community. Employers were recognized with a beautiful plaque.
A public agency, LA Works is a WorkSource Center that
provides a comprehensive system of training, placement and career planning
services for job seekers throughout Southern California. LA Works also
provides a wide range of professional services to businesses, including:
On-the-Job Training Programs, job placement and training assistance, Internet
job postings, recruitment services, videoconferencing, facility rental
and consulting services. Based in Irwindale, California, LA Works was
founded in 1976 as the primary public job training and placement center

sponsored its Annual Awards Breakfast honoring job seekers, employers
and its partnership.

Works Affiliates and Youth Collaborators are an important part of the
