EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATE IN PASSIONATELY
PINK FOR THE CURE™
“Passionately Pink for the Cure”™ is a simple awareness and fundraising program that began on October 1, 2007. Employees are encouraged to make a donation to this important cause to earn the right to wear denim and pink to work. The denim & pink worn on this day will make a powerful statement for an important cause. Thanks to events like “Passionately Pink for the Cure™”, Susan G. Komen for the cure has invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill a promise in becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. Employees are encouraged to wear denim & pink in exchange for a donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. 2007 marks Komen’s 25th Anniversary. In 2006, more than 700,000 individuals were Passionately Pink for the Cure™, helping raise $3 million to fund Komen’s promise. The hope for 2007 is to raise at least $5 million through ONE MILLION participants. For more information about this news release, contact: |
