Over 90 local and national employers eager to tap into the skills and discipline the military inspires in its members met at Cameron Park Community Center in West Covina at the May 24th event.

The well-attended event was open to the general public and drew hundreds of job seekers. The Expo provided veterans and the spouses of active-duty service personnel with access to employers ranging from Homeland Security to area department stores. The event also featured local vendors who volunteered their time by providing free haircuts and manicures. Attendees were encouraged to bring their resumes for free critiquing and received resume writing and job interviewing advice as well as other resources to promote job opportunities.

The goal of the Expo was to bring careers in all types of industries to the attention of veterans and job seekers, to make the community aware of our local job market and see that they have many career opportunities from which to choose.
