LA Works DEMONSTRATES THEIR CONTINUOUS DEDICATION TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF WORKFORCE SERVICES OFFERED

Irwindale, CA – LA Works, a WorkSource Center providing assistance to job seekers and businesses throughout the Northeastern San Gabriel Valley, received recognition by the County of Los Angeles and has being officially recertified as a WorkSource Center by the governing body of Los Angeles County's WorkSource Centers, the Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board (LACWIB).

In order to receive funding from the LACWIB, all WorkSource Centers are put through a rigorous recertification process. The LACWIB Certification Committee assesses the WorkSource Center to verify evidence that processes and services are in place to meet performance standards. The Center is evaluated on its operational process and procedures, continuous quality improvement plan, and establishment of partnerships with local trade associations and business partners. Success in the process assures the public that a certified site attained a high standard of quality and consistently maintains that standard over time. The recertification process takes place every two years.

The basis in which the LACWIB Certification Committee makes a decision regarding the recertification of LA Works was based on multiple factors such as on-site observations, panel discussion with LA Works’ key partners and businesses, group interviews with LA Works’ Continuous Quality Improvement Team, along with supporting documentation provided by the Center.
