LA Works is a Los Angeles County WorkSource Center that provides a comprehensive system of training, placement and career planning services for job seekers and businesses throughout Southern California at no charge. LA Works also offers:
* Specialized Business Services, such as Human Resources and Consulting Services * Community Services * Economic Development Resources
LA Works operates advanced Web-based systems for employers and job seekers. We also operate a computer lab and workshops on topics ranging from new business ventures to career enhancement and computer skills. LA Works, based in Irwindale, CA, was founded in 1976 as the primary public job training and placement center for residents of cities in the east San Gabriel Valley. Over the years we expanded our operation to include a variety of community services such as:
* Home Improvement and Affordable Home Ownership * On-campus College Experience for Disadvantaged High School Students * Energy Conservation * Community Beautification * Gang Reduction Initiatives * Veteran Employment Programs
